Frederick J. Godert Jr.

November 7, 2017, with great sadness, we say good bye to Fred—husband of 25 years to Thelma Lynnette.   Beloved son of Doris Godert and the late Fred Godert, Sr.  Brother of Christine (James) Schneegold, Doris Godert, John (Mary Lisa) Godert, Deborah Godert, Donna (Richard) Szczechowski, and Mark Godert.  Beloved uncle to Olly, Jacob and Marisa.

A graduate of Blessed Trinity School, Maryvale High School and Erie Community College, Fred worked many years as a bartender in area restaurants and bars where he brought much joy and laughter to his patrons and friends.  Fred’s love of home improvement and passion for detail led him to become a popular contractor and landscaper; adding beauty to many area homes and gardens.  Fred also loved  traveling with his wife.  

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 9th at Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church, 8445 Greiner Road, Williamsville, NY 14221.  All are welcome.

Flowers are gratefully declined.  Memorial contributions may be made to any mental health awareness charity of your choice.
