Annette Hammonds was born on October 25, 1960 in Buffalo, New York to the late John Espy Hammonds and the late Mary Evelyn (nee Turner) Hammonds.
Annette was educated in the Buffalo Public School System. She attended elementary schools #31 and #90, Genesee-Humboldt Junior High School and she graduated from East High School. She pursued post graduate studies at Daemon College and attained a BS in Business Administration from Buffalo State College.
After college Annette worked as a manager at Hills Department Store and later at Adelphia Cable until she was stricken with ill health at a very young age.
Annette met the love of her life, David McMillan, in the early 1980’s and they were lifetime soul mates until she left this earth on April 11, 2025.
She loved music, watching sports on TV, reading and visiting with family, friends and her long time buddy Tammy Moore. Annette loved to travel and she took cruises and other trips with family before she became disabled. She also enjoyed trivia and was very knowledgeable about pop culture.
Despite her physical challenges, Annette maintained a positive attitude and was always thankful for the help that she received.
Annette was preceded in death by Father John Sr., Mother Mary, Sister Sylvia, Brother John Jr. and Brother Sammie. She leaves to cherish David McMillan,Stepdaughter Cherish ( Kahil Davis ), Grandchildren, Amore Davis, Zion Benson, Ayla Davis and Zahir Davis Sisters Imogene Fanin, Mary (John) Davis and Patty Thomas, Brother Richard Hammonds, Aunt Glennis Chinn of Medina, NY, Nieces Marion ( James ) McWilson, Doreen (Levi ) Daniels, Alicia Newson, Pamela Hammonds and Yolanda Hammonds, Nephews Gregory Jones (Frieda ), Levoyd Jones (Caroline ), Eric Jones (Kim), Robert Jones (Kerri), Sidney Jones, Jermaine Fanin (Kim) and Rodney Hammonds, her best friend Tammy Moore (Jody) and a host of other family and friends.
