The Lord called Bernice Jean Bell home life on Wednesday, January 28, 2021. Born April 9, 1942 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to Samuel Ralph and Emma Hemphill where she started her education and was baptized at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She finished her education when Samuel and Emma moved her and her six siblings to Buffalo, New York.
In Buffalo she became a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was joined in holy matrimony with and is survived by Otis Bell.
She will join Samuel and Emma as well as her brothers Samuel Jr. and Raymond Dwight as well as her sisters Martha Ann and Ina Ray who all preceded her in being called home. She leaves behind her sister Shirley of Buffalo and her brother David in Phoenix, Arizona and her children William Emmett Hemphill and Laura Ann Bell to mourn as well as two grandchildren Nicole and William Jr. in addition to ten nieces and nephews and many Great-grandchildren and loyal friends.
