Honoring the Life of Clara Scott-Whiskey was born in Arcola Mississippi on November 30, 1942. To the late Beverly Knoninger and Beatrice Simpson.
On September 15, 1960 she joined in Matrimony with Willie James Scott Sr. She moved to Buffalo NY in 1964 to live a beautiful life with her husband of 35 years until his passing. Years later, she found love again and married Felix Whiskey with whom she shared 15 beautiful years.
Clara had many talents and hobbies, sewing, unholstering and cooking.
She loved the Lord and accepted Christ at an early age and was baptize at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Birmingham Ala and she continued serving the Lord under the leadership of Rev WL. Jones. She was one of the mothers of the church, who would tell you “Thus said the Lord”.
She retired from General Motors after 20 years of employment.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Beverly Kroninger and Beatrice Simpson and her son Jimmy Lee Scott and Daughter Regina Alisa Scott; brothers, Alfrae Kroninger, Beverly Davis Kroninger, Joseph Henry Kroninger, Charles Kroninger, Chester Kroninger, Leon Rogers Sr.; sisters, Vinnie Kroninger, Abyssinia Kroninger, Annie Mae Kroninger, Beatrice Mcgee, Julia Seward, Elouise Richardson, Florida Ware-Blanton and Emma Washington. She leaves behind 3 daughters, Madeline Scott (Tony), Romara Scott, Abyssinia Vanterpool (Kenneth) 2 sons Willie Jame Scott Jr., Randal Scott, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will deeply miss her, though not bound by blood, Brenda Banks (preceded her) and Ada Deans was truly her sisters in every sense of the word. Godson’s Olando Glover and Joseph Hairston and her special friend Russell Spengler (AKA Mr. Ross)
Her presence was a blessing to those who crossed her path. She will be deeply missed. Her love was a light that never dimmed, and her guidance shaped our hearts. Though she’s no longer by our side, her wisdom and warmth will forever lead us.
As Grace was in all her steps, Heav’n in her Eye, In every gesture dignity and love.
