Hassan L Lester Obituary

Hassan Linneas Lester was born in Buffalo, New York on October 18, 1967 to Carleen Coleman and Melvin Ernest Lester. He attended St. Columba School, where he served as an Altar Boy, Seneca High School and Erie Community College. During his life time he had many Jobs - Harlequin Distribution Center, Tops Markets Distribution Center, 3M Tonawanda, US Sugar Company, Tesla Gigafactory, Tripifoods and lastly General Motors, to name a few. 

Hassan aka “House” was a very likable person. He met no strangers. His outgoing personality and charm were an instant hit. He was kindhearted always trying to help someone. Hassan was one that would light up a room with his presence and personality. He enjoyed having fun, all types of music, motorcycles, loved to dress, and yes, the Buffalo Bills!!! Hassan loved his family and close friends from childhood. Hassan was a Baptized Believer, a member of the True Bethel Baptist Church, Pastor Darius Pridgen and would attend Faith is the Victory Tabernacle, Pastor Ronald Coleman, Sr., his cousin.

Hassan Linneas Lester loved the Lord. God was always present in his life. He constantly read the Bible, and met with prayer groups and would even try to sing. His favorite Gospel songs were “More Than Anything” by Anita Wilson and “Take Me To The King” by Tamela Manns and this love was shared with his Mom. Hassan was called home to suffer no more and be at peace. He was preceded in death by his parents Carleen Coleman, Melvin E. Lester; his dear Aunt Sis’ Mary H. Turner, Uncles Charles Coleman, Robert Coleman, Samuel “Sonny” Coleman and Wyatt “June” Garnett. Here to cherish his memory forever are his son Hassan D. Lester and daughter Camille (David) Love of California, Grandchildren: Dennell Elijah Lester, Devin Emmanuel Lester, Anyla Gibson and Summer Vernon. Sisters Cynthia (Byron) Hicks, Camille Lester, Brother Melvin Lester. One uncle Earl Garnett, and his aunt Mary L. Coleman, Dear First Cousins Andrea (Samuel), Jayda, Charlise (DeCarlos), Ashlee, Cherise, Douglas (Sonya), Ronald (Valerie), Robbil (Nikki), Myles, Craig, Sadim, Robil, Wyatt Jr and Lamont. Extended Family the Towne Garden Crew and Special friend Jamie Lash. A host of other relatives and friends.
