Robert J Crayton, 83, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away suddenly, leaving behind a community saddened by his departure.
Born in Jackson, Mississippi, on February 12, 1941, Robert's early years were shaped by the love and guidance of his parents, Arthur Crayton and Christine (Baldon) Crayton. Relocating to Niagara Falls, New York, with their family, Robert attended local schools and forged lifelong connections within the community. Robert's journey led him to Rochester, where he established roots for over thirty years. He dedicated his career to the Kodak plant in Rochester, New York, before eventually retiring.
He was a familiar and cherished figure in every community he lived in, he was known for his infectious laughter and zest for life. Robert's humorous and affectionate demeanor had a way of brightening every room with his contagious smile, bringing joy to those around him.Family meant everything to Robert, and he was a devoted father grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. His eyes sparkled with delight whenever he was in the presence of his family, showering them with endless love and affection. Throughout his life, Robert's kindness, humor, and wisdom left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. He possessed a remarkable ability to communicate his thoughts effectively, touching the hearts of those he held dear. Robert's sudden absence leaves a void in the hearts of many. Yet, his legacy of laughter, love, and cherished memories will continue to resonate in the lives of those he touched.
He is survived by his children: Anthony Groomes, Valerie Keel (Jeffery), Terry Renford, Joseph Crayton (Wendy), Kevin Crayton (Robin), Tongela Smith (Kenneth), Marcus Renford (Faith), Dwandell Renford (Jessica), and Stephen Crayton. He was predeceased by his son Robert Renford and daughter Relina Crayton.
In addition to his immediate family, Robert also leaves behind his sister, Nancy Crayton, residing in Mississippi.
His legacy extends further with a remarkable family tree, including 50 grandchildren, 89 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Beyond his blood relatives, Robert's impact touched the lives of numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends who will forever hold him dear in their hearts.
A celebration service honoring Robert's life will take place at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Judah Deliverance Ministry, located at 1905 Hyde Park Blvd., Niagara Falls, NY.
