Russell Bell Obituary

Russell Bell, 63, of Buffalo, NY passed away on August 22, 2020 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital after a valiant fight with cancer. His final days were spent surrounded by his family.

Russell was born June 6, 1957, in Brooklyn, NY, to Jerome Martin and Thema Bell.

He attended Lafayette High School in Brooklyn, NY; earned a Bachelor of Science from Houghton College in Houghton, NY; and earned a Master of Divinity from Northeastern Seminary at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY.

Russell also served in the United States Air Force for many years.

A devoted follower of Christ, Russell was an active member in the community, his servant's heart particularly devoted to the younger generation in the urban setting. Despite his battle with cancer, Russell was often found in his classroom at the Charter School of Inquiry in Buffalo, ministering to everyone he came in contact with. He has left an impact on many, and will be dearly missed.

Russell is survived by his wife, Tammy Bell; his sons, Jamel Bryant, Akeem Bell, Malcolm Bell, Mark Bell, and Sirmanuel Bell; his daughters, Shanikqua Corbin, Keiona Cannon, Shakiya Bell, and Fina Bell; and his granddaughters, Raelynn Cannon, Amiya Hunter, and Zamira Corbin.
