Deeply saddened to find out about Martha's passing after all this time. The Summer issue of the Canisius Alumni Newsletter finally tipped me off.

With all the ups and downs of college life as a commuter student in the 80s, Ms. Martha's kind and helpful words were (at times) the one factor that kept me from losing my sanity all together. I will always remember her gentle tone, her sometimes playful banter, and her general concern for all she mentored. She helped me feel comfortable about opening up some of my deeper secrets, and will always hold the memory of Her close to my heart. GodSpeed, Darling Angel... ♥

I recently relocated back to Buffalo, NY, Imagine the sadness felt as to learn that one of the first mentors I met at Canisius College has transitioned on.

I pray her soul is at rest and that she will be remembered for building bridges. across all cultural lines. My heart goes out to her family and friends who I consider myself to be. I will remember her most for her great laugh and big hugs!!! Life well lived Martha!!!
